Encyclopedia Towards a Post-Anthropocentric World is a multidisciplinary bilingual (English-Hungarian) encyclopedia including ecologically themed and new realist theoretical entries with prose poems of six young Hungarian writers and visual artworks that sensually approximate the landscapes of the Anthropocene.
The xtro realm artist group was founded in 2017 aimed to initiate a discourse around the Anthropocene and new realist ontologies in Hungary, which were completely lacking at the time. Since then, we organized reading circles, exhibitions, Anthropocene field trips and other transdisciplinary knowledge-sharing occasions within our art practice. This encyclopedia is therefore a collection of accumulated knowledge of 2 years of work, which is not only a total sum, but also makes the Anthropocene-related discourses available and accesible finally in Hungarian as well, since it includes such philosophical notions which are translated to Hungarian for the first time.

Ki merészel olyan térképet készíteni, amely megfoszt a tartózkodási hely evidenciájától? Ki hajlandó valami egészen mássá válni, a felismerhetetlenségig eltorzulni vagy megújulni? Az extrodæsia egy magyar-angol nyelvű enciklopédikus vállalkozás, amely olyan kapcsolódási pontokat hoz létre, amelyek intermediális hálózatában kalandozva feltárulnak előttünk az emberközpontúságot meghaladó világ peremvidékei. Ha van forma, amely az ilyen transzverzális mozgásoknak és határátlépéseknek megfelel, az az enciklopédia, különösen, ha újabb távlatok megnyitására törekszik.
Az xtro realm csapata 2017 óta kezeli kiemelt figyelemmel a posztantropocentrikus gondolkodás felforgató erejét, amely a jelenkor ökológiai válságának kontextusában nem is lehetne aktuálisabb.
